FAQ: How long does it take to get certification to the ISO 9001 quality standard?

The mean time to implement ISO 9001 is 8 months, according to an Australian survey. It may take you more or less time than this.

Our standard answer to the question: How long is a piece of string? (Sorry, couldn't resist).

Figure on somewhere between 8 - 11 months perhaps, or even less if you're in very good shape already.

Less than 3 months is very unrealistic, and only very very occasionally achievable.

'Next week' is not.
